Guardianships occur for several reasons including where a loved one may no longer be able to manage their daily finances, affairs, or to make appropriate medical decisions on their behalf. A person may have had a medical set-back, Developmental Disability, or have recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia.
